How To Easily Make Hamburger Patties
The season for grilling and cookouts is here once again and like many we find ourselves grilling often. One thing about grilling I enjoy so much is I feel I can eat relatively clean by eating organic meats and veggies. One of those go-to meals we grill often are hamburgers. As easy as it is to buy the pre-made patties and throw them on the grill, I still try to stick to the healthier leaner, organic ground beef. However, buying the ground beef means making the patties by hand. After many times of doing this, we have come up with a way to make hamburger patties that are even and round and even do well staying together while grilling them. All you need are few easy common items and you are set
Plastic Wrap (or Cling Wrap)
Round Lid (we use a lid off of a mixed nut container from Costco, the lid is roughly 4 in diameter by 1 in deep)
I also use wax paper if I am going to season the patties and leave them in the refrigerator until it’s time to grill.
Wrap the plastic lid with plastic wrap.
Roll the meat into balls, I make mine about the size of my palm. I also like to toss the hamburger meat from hand to hand so it holds together well.
Take the balled up hamburger and place within the wrapped lid, and press the meat so it fills the lid.
Take the lid and turn it over and shake the hamburger patty onto a plate. Or, you could separate each patty with a piece of wax paper and put them in a freezer bag to pull out whenever you need them.
And there you go easy to make hamburger patties. Good luck and happy grilling
